A Message from Bob Key on Dottie
To the friends of Dottie Key:
I would like to thank all our friends in the the Dayton Ski Club for the support during Dottie's illness and after her passing for the support given to her and the family in the way of cards, phone calls, visits, food, beautiful flowers, and just the love that was shown by all. Dottie had about 400 people attend the viewing and a large majority were ski club friends. The club has really been a big help in getting me through this time of need and I can never thank all of you enough.

Fam Trip Policy
Generate a list of club members wanting to be trip leaders. The list will be broken into three categories as follows:
- Overseas Trips
- Western/Eastern Trips
- Weekend Trips
This will be a continuous list for all trips in the coming years. The list will be open with names being added as members volunteer for trip leader positions. To qualify, you must be a skiing member of the DSBC for a minimum of 2 years to run an overseas or western/eastern trip.
Weekend trips are open to all skiing members.
The Skiing VP will have first priority to go on fam trips offered, as that is part of the job and he or she will be able to pass on the information to the trip leaders if the area is selected for a future club trip. After the Skiing VP, fam trips will be given on a point system from the list of potential trip leaders.
The following is an example:
Points will be awarded for the following qualifications
- Previous board member 4 points
- Former trip leader 2 points
- Frequent trip participant 3 points
- Be able to travel within a few days notice 2 points
The member with the highest point total will be offered the fam trip. In the case of ties, the member at the top of the list is offered the fam trip. If for some reason that member cannot accept the offer, continue down the list until the offer is accepted.
Board members are very important to the continuing future and growth of the club. Therefore, board members should concentrate on making the club more inviting to potential and current members rather than taking the time to be a trip leader during their tenure as a board member. If after their time on the board they wish to be a trip leader, they will be given first priority. If the trip leader list lacks signups, then current board members may add their name to the lists.
The DSBC Board approved the above as policy for awarding trip inspection fam trips.
