A Message from Bob Key on Dottie

To the friends of Dottie Key:

I would like to thank all our friends in the the Dayton Ski Club for the support during Dottie's illness and after her passing for the support given to her and the family in the way of cards, phone calls, visits, food, beautiful flowers, and just the love that was shown by all. Dottie had about 400 people attend the viewing and a large majority were ski club friends. The club has really been a big help in getting me through this time of need and I can never thank all of you enough.

Cortina's excursions and day and night activities:

Tuesdays

KRONPLATZ

A private coach will pick you up in one of the 3 pick-up points listed above. About one hour from Cortina, and set in the beautiful Pusteria Valley, Kronplatz is a paradise for intermediate and advanced skiers. On its 50 miles of slopes, you can ski from the top all the way down to three different villages. The efficient lift system is one of the most advanced in Europe, composed mainly of gondolas. Intermediate skiers can enjoy the numerous runs down to Olang and San Vigilio, whilst advanced skiers  challenge the “Sylvester” run down to the village of Riscone. A great opportunity to spend a day in a different area of the Dolomites!. You will be dropped off at OLANG – the same place that you will depart from at 4.00pm (please be there by 3.45pm) to be back in Cortina at 5.00pm. The Dolomiti Superski Pass is necessary. For intermediate/advanced skiers only.

Thursdays

“THE SELLA RONDA”

A private coach will pick you up in one of the 3 pick-up points listed above. Arrival in Corvara at 9.00am to start the tour with an experienced guide. This is a well-known tour around the “Gruppo Sella”, the famous mountain group in the heart of the Dolomiti ski area. The Sella is recognizable by its distinctive shape  - “sella” in Italian means saddle. The tour can be done either clockwise or anticlockwise and crosses four passes on the way - Passo Gardena, Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo. There will be a lunch stop. Arrival back in Corvara at 4.30pm to meet the coach for the return to Cortina by approximately 5.30pm. The Dolomiti Superski Pass is necessary. For intermediate/advanced skiers only.
